This old soap tin was once used for travel and has plenty of life left to continue to do so! Or use it to store odds and ends in the kitchen, bathroom or laundry room – even the guest room would be a great place for this little tin!
What makes this tin extra special is the inset illustration of two Victorian ladies being courted by two gentleman. The image is browned with age but appears in good condition behind glass which is intact. The tin itself has some ornate borders and patterns that add to the feminine feel of the tin.
The lid attaches snugly but is easily removed. Overall the tin is in good vintage condition, with a few dings here and there and some crustiness and scratches that all point to the fact that this tin was put to good use!
MonSavon (which translates into “my soap”) is a brand of French soap that is still being made today.
