As a self-proclaimed type geek, I love nothing more than old letters and numbers.
This old stencil alphabet set was found in France and has the most lovely old patina on the tin box. The wood-handled stamp has metal ledges so you can use the old tweezers provided with the box to typeset your very own stamp with up to 3 lines of text. How cool is that? (Note: there are actually two stamp holders – I don’t believe either one is necessarily original to the set)
The tin itself has some great blue graphics and a double hinged lid that allows it to open flat.
The alphabet/numbers are likely not complete – my eye sight is not what it used to be and there’s roughly a row-and-a-half missing. But still fun to display or to play around with.
