The graphics on this small unopened bottle are stunning! Apparently, this brand of peppermint liqueur was a prize winner during the World Fair held in Paris in 1900. The seal on the top is coming a bit loose but the glass stopper is still firmly in place.
The paper along the top appears to have torn away a bit – if this bottle were unwrapped, it looks like there’s a folded piece of printed material wrapped around the bottle underneath the outer kraft paper wrapper.
Because the bottom of the bottle is wrapped in paper, it sits a little unevenly but really only noticeable when viewed from the side.
This would make a lovely addition to someone’s bottle collection – or display it in a small vignette on a shelf.
