If you love the French Nordic style, you’ve probably spotted old drain plates similar to this in Jeanne d’Arc Living magazine – they’re often displayed in plate racks along with cutting/onion boards and other white ironstone or dishes.
This listing is for the one (1) drain plate shown in the photos.
It’s originally from Germany and made by WETA, a manufacturer of porcelain laboratory dishes. This circular drain plate has a pretty tight collection of drain holes, making it the perfect backdrop for layering dishes or ironstone in a cabinet. Or use at the dinner table as a unique trivet.
It’s in good condition for its age, without cracks and just a few scruff marks. There is one small section that sort of looks like a repaired chip but it’s on the underside and happened during the manufacturing process prior to glazing. The top and sides are glazed, the bottom is unglazed.
