If you love the French Nordic style, you’ve probably spotted old drain plates similar to this in Jeanne d’Arc Living magazine – they’re often displayed in plate racks along with cutting/onion boards and other white ironstone or dishes.
This listing is for the one (1) drain plate shown in the photos (smaller one in the first photo).
It’s originally from Germany and made by WETA, a manufacturer of porcelain laboratory dishes. This circular drain plate has a pretty tight collection of drain holes, making it the perfect backdrop for layering dishes or ironstone in a cabinet. Or use at the dinner table as a unique trivet.
It’s in good condition for its age, without cracks and just a few scruff marks. The top and sides are glazed, the bottom is unglazed.
