This French cream-colored terrine was originally used for foie gras but now you can use it for almost anything – bake a small desert in it or use it as a catch-all in the bathroom or next to your bed.
Made from glazed stoneware by Simplex, this little pot is very heavy, weighing in at well over a pound! It does have a chip on the bottom of the rim but overall in great condition – hard to find them in this great a shape! It’s also larger than most of the ones that normally cross my path.
Bottom is marked: Terrine Brevetée S.G.D.G Simplex France, Modèle Déposé Sarreguemines
Size number 10 and also has numbers 367 showing
SIZE: 4.625″ diameter at its widest, 3.5″ diameter at base, 4″ total height
Lid fits rather loosely – may not be original for that size (as found)
