If you love the French Nordic style, you’ve probably spotted these old drain plates in Jeanne d’Arc Living magazine – they’re often displayed in plate racks along with cutting/onion boards and other white ironstone or dishes.
These were originally part of a serving dish where they were used to drain the water or juices from vegetables, meat or fish. They now make great decorative pieces or you can use them as trivets in your kitchen or dining room.
This listing is for the one (1) drain plate shown in the photos with a pretty star pattern formed by the drain holes. It’s in good condition for its age, without chips or cracks, just some crazing, minor flea bites and browning here and there. There is no maker’s mark on the bottom but it does have a partial blind mark of a number 2.
