If you love the French Nordic style and read Jeanne d’Arc Living magazine, I’m sure you’ve seen these old ceramic and porcelain cutting boards that are so popular and somewhat hard to find. I try to snap them up whenever they cross my path in Europe.
These are sometimes called onion boards but folks in Germany used them as breakfast or dinner plates for sandwiches. They look great displayed with wood cutting boards or ceramic drain plates and as a bonus are fully functional as a cheese board or cutting board!
This listing is for one (1) very heavy porcelain cutting board in a design reminiscent of Meissen’s Blue Onion or Royal Copenhagen. I have three of the same design in very similar condition so please let me select one for you.
These boards are in good condition, with bright white background and pretty blue hand painted designs. Each has a small number of chips on the bottom corners and some slight browned flea bites here and there – please see photos for details.
There is a mark on the back but I have not been able to identify its maker: z. 467
SIZE: 8.25″ tall x 4.625″ wide x a skosh over 0.25″ thick
