This lovely stoneware confiture jar still has the original labels attached. The front label indicates that it once held apricot jam “like home made” using purely of fruit and sugar. The small label on the back states the address and city of origin, Lyon.
The jar itself is in good shape with just a few tiny flea bites along the rim and some uneven glazing that was part of the manufacturing process. Another unique part is that while the bottom is perfectly round, the top portion has been squeezed ever so slightly before firing so it’s more oval in form.
