This particular piece came from France. It’s a third prize award from 1959 of an agricultural show in the community of Breteuil, about an hour north of Paris. The category is for various breeds of ducks.
The main part of the plaque is a faded slate blue with spots of rusty metal showing through. The year is painted on by hand – not sure why there is no embossed year… Hard-to-read small type along the bottom left and right shows the maker and city (PARIS! Don’t you love things that say PARIS? 🙂
