enamelware canister – café
Enamelware canisters are a kitchen staple and instantly add a touch of old world charm. Besides being very decorative, they're also very functional! Even ones with a bit of rust on the inside can still be used to store non-food items or other bits 'n' bobs.
This listing is for the one (1) CAFÉ (coffee) canister shown in the photos. It's quite old with a seam in the back. It has some chips in the usual spots, mainly along the rim of the lid and on the knob. The canister has two extruded bands that have a hand-painted blue stripe with faint gold pin striping above and below. There is also a diamond pattern that's extruded, with the word Café in gold lettering on one of them.
While generally in good condition, this canister does have some light brown staining that I was not able to wash off - please take a close look at the photos.

enamel clock scale
I love enamel plaques and thought these old clock parts would be great incorporated into jewelry or mixed media pieces – or even displayed in a small vignette among other little lovelies.
They came to me along with some other clock parts shipped straight from France. These are apparently called Vienna beat scales and would have been mounted at the base of a regulator clock to help judge the swing of the pendulum.
Listing is for the one (1) enamel scale.
SIZE: 3" wide x 1" to 1.125" tall
One is flat, the other slightly curved; if you have a preference, please send me a message telling me which one you'd prefer.
UPDATE: only the flat one is left (the slightly thicker one has sold)

antique French thermometer
This antique thermometer from France ticks all my boxes: amazing typography, fabulous patina, enamel and to top it all off, it's got a sense of humor!
This would have been hung outdoors, likely outside a window or next to the front door, and as a little added touch, not only does it tell you the current temperature (it still works!), it also indicates the temperature needed for baths, silkworms, oranges, ice, frozen rivers and presumably the record low temps for 1800, 1871 and 1891.
There are a few condition issues such as chips along the edges and top and the fact that the bottom of the mercury tube is held in place with an old faded twisty-tie (see photos). Still a fabulous and functional piece with lots of history!
SIZE: 5.625" long x 1.75" wide
mounting holes at top and bottom

Lepine Paris plaque
Anything old with the word PARIS on it automatically rises to the top of my wish list! So this hand-lettered little enamel plaque from France certainly captured my heart the moment I saw it! It would once have adorned a clock but I think it'd be lovely incorporated into a piece of jewelry or even just a small vignette.
After a bit of research, I discovered that Jean-AntoineLépine was a master clock maker in the mid to late 1700s in Paris.
Listing is for the one (1) oval enamel little clock plaque.
SIZE: 1.5" wide x 1.125" tall with two pins in the back
