These tiny mourning brooches were once worn to keep departed loved ones close at heart. All of these were found in France and would look lovely pinned to a mannequin, pressed into a wax candle, or turned into jewelry. Each is a little different and all show signs of age and use. All could have a new photograph inserted, if so desired. A: appears to be brass with typical French brow on top. Glass is bowed and slightly scratched B: all black ornately embossed metal with slightly bowed glass C: appears to be brass without glass; cream-colored backing might be celluloid D: likely silver with a round brass border; flat glass E: likely silver with very slightly bowed glass; cream-colored backing might be celluloid SIZE: varies but approx. 1" to 1.25" in diameter FREE SHIPPING within the US. I was simply enamored when I spotted this trio of small oval frames at a market in France. Each frame holds an antique portrait of someone long gone. Two of the three have an attached eyelet so you can hang it or attach it to a necklace.
