Agoura Hills
I’m so excited – we leave for our big buying trip to Europe in just a couple days! But that made me realize I never shared photos of my last trip – simply been too busy with shows and work and life in general… So I better hop to it and show you the three fabulous shops I visited when I was in the Los Angeles area at the end of July. The best part? They’re all right next door to each other!
We had very limited time so the fact that there were a number of great antique stores so close to each other made Agoura Hills a prime destination.
First we stopped by Agoura Antique Mart. I had been several times before but that was years ago (probably 8? maybe 10?) and definitely long before I became a dealer myself. I love this store! It’s a typical antique mall in that spaces are rented out to different individuals who style their spaces themselves. But that’s about the only thing that’s typical – there are some absolutely gorgeous spaces with impeccable styling that make you smile with delight! Here are a few impressions for you:
Right next door is A Beautiful Mess Home by Kymberley Fraser – and no mess to be seen here, just beauty everywhere you turn! Kymberly is an interior designer and carries a gorgeous collection of furniture that can all be completely customized. Her work has been featured in numerous magazines and her shop is filled with a wonderful mix of new and old home decor items that really work beautifully together. See for yourself:
Lastly, we popped into the shop at the very end of the mall, next door to Kymberley’s, but unfortunately, I can’t remember 100% the name of the store – I believe it’s La Dee Da but if any of you know this to be false, please let me know so I can post the correct link. This store was set up somewhat as a mall with some spaces individually styled and stocked – some great wares to be found:
So if you find yourself in the Los Angeles area and want to spend an afternoon among some amazing antiques and vintage treasures, be sure to add Agoura Hills to your itinerary!
Now I’m off to do some more laundry and figure out how many suitcases I can nest inside each other like Russian dolls so I can bring all my future loot home from Europe 🙂 If you’d like to see photos of the various markets I’ll shop while in the Netherlands, Belgium and France, be sure to follow along on Facebook or Instagram!
Groetjes,
Alex
