I just finished the first show of the year and wow…I’m still reveling in the after glow of this fun event! Rebel Junk had inspired roughly 100 vendors to bring their best stuff to sell during Friday evening’s Early Bird and Saturday’s regular show hours.
I had done this show before when I very first started out and was looking forward to setting up a larger display to showcase all my European treasures. Since my main focus is smalls, I typically don’t bring much furniture and the pieces I do bring are often just for display. So my booth made use of some folding tables with cloth coverings along with several larger pieces, all of which fit like a puzzle inside our minivan and CR-V.
Since I was on a corner and the flow of traffic would be coming from two directions, I set up an L-shaped booth with a small island on the corner so there were two ways to enter and exit. So glad I did since at times my booth was so packed, it was hard to maneuver!
I really enjoyed watching people’s reaction as they looked at my extensive selection of enamelware pitchers, coffee pots, canisters and colanders. My “tray of treasures” and collection of enamel house numbers were also a big hit. I’m so grateful to all my customers who took home so many of my things!
I didn’t have a chance to shop the show but I did make sure to do a quick whirlwind walk-through right before the doors opened to snap photos of a few of my favorite vendors!
Roost Reimagined‘s booth literally stopped me in my tracks when I first walked past – stunning display with the use of a very limited color palette and great use of pattern!
Just down the aisle was Mary with Aunt Adeleine – funky hand-made jewelry using vintage elements that are so much fun!
Denise with Pink Postcard always brings great pieces – this giant Pepsi sign didn’t last long!
If it was girly frills that you were looking for, Diane with Molly Mo’s was definitely a place to stop!
One of my favorite booths is always B is for Bella – Sue & Joe’s mix of finds is always right up my alley! They mix rustic with Victorian, fanciful with unusual and it always looks amazing!
In the same corner of the building was Glo with Farm French whose girlish whimsy always makes me smile.
Kat and JoDee with Duchess also created a display that won my heart – gorgeous neutrals with the perfect level of chippiness.
Hope you enjoyed this sneak peek inside Rebel Junk. If you like what you saw, mark your calendars for the Rebel Junk holiday show December 2 and 3, 2016!
